filtered against tom m. riddle | warded extremely unhackableI would've hoped that I wouldn't need to make a warning like this, but here it is. A dangerous man has recently arrived. I can't give you the full details, as it's best that I don't. It'll be bad enough if he finds out I gave you a warning at all, but having that level of information could ( Read more... )

Will avoiding him be enough?

It should be. Until he has enough power, he won't be able to do much here.

Sitting around waiting doesn't sound appealing. Can you warn us if he starts to become a threat?

I will. It wouldn't be fair to give a warning and not follow it up.

But ... I'm hoping the curses here make things difficult for him.

We are all capable of being dangerous, should we wish to be so.

And he's someone who likes to take advantage of that.

Is there anything in particular that we should be aware of?

I'd rather not say.

I think you can handle going without details, really.

How can anyone look into another's head?

Magic, in my world. Dark magic.

But I believe there are psychics here, too.

Magic is more understandable an explanation than psychics.

How is this boy dangerous?

There are few others from my world that I would bother to make a warning about, and ... even then, I'm not sure I would.

Does that answer your question?

By the way, Potter, I don't appreciate you using my family's name as a cover story. Don't you have enough imagination to come up with something less obviously a lie?

My godfather was a Black and the Potters are on the tree, Malfoy. It wasn't a lie. He made his own conclusions about the relation.

That's a dangerously Slytherin way of looking at things. A lie by omission or technicality is still a lie. Being a godson doesn't make you heir to the name, and you know you're not going to be able to hide it forever. I'm not going to hide it forever.

It will slow him down, Malfoy. As for being like a Sly And I inherited their house. I think that's good enough for me.
