S-Sorry. Uhh, jeez, I'm holding off on questions til this goes into effect when you update where there will be a flurry of them if that's cool with you. I'M SURE IT IS.
But an important one!! Has Gat become appable at all? Because it sounds like he has.
I totally think he is. I mean. It'd be a tough app because he's not . . . a FUNNY GUY but there are some people who can do deadpan! He has a personality! Somewhere! I REALLY WANT GAT IN CAMP but I guess it'd have to be a labor of love ._.a
First of all, I LOVE your essays. Man, I did'nt know I would found such detailled Hazel-related analysis. Not to mention that you're so good at it, too ! But let's cut the praises out -even if you deserve it x3 - here's a bunch of my favorites

Oh gosh, this comment made my day. Thank you very much ♥ ♥ I am super glad you liked these write-ups!
Yeah, it bothered me too ... I mean, how can he make such different faces when confonted to the same situation ? Unless he truly was - as he said to sanzo and cie - bluffing, but it's quite hard to believe .. I--I think both Hazel and Minekura would have a tough time convincing me he was bluffing. In fact I feel Minekura made it pretty clear that he was willing if not actually going to do it. It's all about the way he says it, and the paneling... But then, that was back when Minekura was really hitting us over the head with HEY HEY GUYS HAZEL IS A BAD GUY--it wasn't till later that she started trying to convince us that, hey, there might be something more to this guy than just being a jerk. The way Minekura sets it up, at least, makes it far easier to believe that Hazel was willing to let the women die rather than...testing Sanzo and company, or just plain ol' bluffing

So, did you know that when searching for things about Hazel, Google puts your journal really high on the list? :D
Forgive the random intrusion, but I've actually been bitten by a bit of a Hazel bug for another rp, and have been thinking about a lot of the things you wrote so much better than I ever could have here. Including:
Ukoku describes Gat as Hazel's only human victim, which...I think inadvertently contradicts volume five in which Hazel is a-okay with allowing three human women to be killed since there are three youkai around for the soul transfer. I guess the use of the word "victim" could mean Hazel would never go after a human with the intent to kill? Or maybe he was just desensitized over the years--it's equally likely he could've gotten cockier about his ability to walk in and out of a situation with the same number of human lives intact at the beginning and end, regardless of how many people are actually killed in the process. Maybe it's too simple of a solution, but I was actually wondering if Hazel really intended to
