3. Osama Bin Ladin has the wealth to finance terroist attacks by these people who are his "followers". They're trained groups of individuals who will basically give up their life for money, that gives their family's a financial security that they feel this is the only way they can give it to them, they feel they are doing it in the eyes of their "god" Aliah.

... the Taliban had nothing to do with terrorism, they supported err... gave Bin Laden and his EL-Qaida a place to have training camps, and to hide from the US secret services.
After 9/11 the Taliban, who were in power in Afganistan, refused to extradite Bin Laden, what finally 'caused the war in Afganistan.
