What specifically happened? Hard-drive died? Controller died? Error messages?

Lightning strike, blew out everything I own!
When I boot up the computer, it just hangs searching for a hard drive, tried the same drive in another computer, same result.
The hard drive is spinning but isn't being recognized. And I have no backups! :(

Lighting? For real. Did you offend Zeus with your blog?
Bummer. I have one of these dealie-boppies that I use with questionably dead drives.

But if you've fried the electronics... well.

Apparently, I offended Zeus on so many levels. The rundown:
Wired Router
Wireless AP
Every Cat5 cable (how does that happen??)
3 NICS
32 inch TV
1 DVD player
Nintendo WII
Server HD
And here's the worst part:
Mac Mini -blown network card!
Thank you for pointing me to the usb to IDE cable. I'm going to buy it and give it a whirl. Thank you for your input!

technically so! Because all of my stuff on MySpace gets sent to my jessica[at]whoneedsoxygen.net address, and because my server is down, i can't get mail at that address any more. Nor can I change my email address.
I'll check though and respond
