You could try and leave some food for it. Don't bother it as it feeds. Let it know that it can be at peace with you. Then maybe, after three or four feedings, it'll find itself brave enough to approach you. And maybe it'll bring some friends with him next time.
[he smiles, resting his chin on his hands]
Mice are known to have really large families, after all.

That's so sad. They can't help what they have to do.
[She contemplates what she is told, putting it against other advice she was given earlier. It would be bad if her things are destroyed, but she doesn't want the poor thing hurt by others]
I suppose I could try, Maybe if I feed it myself it will have no more reason to steal on its own.

I've only seen rats in the Institute. Big ones. I guess Church takes care of the mice.
