[Elegantly- and for once not too archaically, unless you count the rather dashing Ascot- dressed and toying with his cuffs as he stands before a mirror in his study, Austria waits, occasionally glancing at the clock; still plenty of time. He takes his glasses off, then puts them back on, then off, on- and eventually decides to leave them on and ( Read more... )

[Prussia meanwhile spent all morning tearing apart her closet. It's not that she wants to look nice for him, or that she's excited because this is her first date or anything; after all most of her relationships could be described as one night stands with guys in bars, or soldiers, or nations she happens to be allied with, and dinner parties with her old bosses hardly count as she had to endure those regardless of whether she was having affairs with them, or their wives, or not. [The maid reports Prussia's unwillingness to sit or drink to Austria, looking anxious, as if she worries that she wasn't hospitable enough; Austria waves her away with the simple explanation of 'it's Prussia'. Staff gone, he casts one last frowning glance at the mirror, before rolling his eyes at himself and padding softly over into the reception room.]

...Good evening.
