Never take anything for granted.

It's been nearly a year since I left my home, family, friends, work - everything that I've known and everything familiar to me.

*chuckle* "We the unwilling, led by the unknowing, have had to do the impossible for the ungrateful. After doing so much with so little for so long, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing." I think of life like blackjack - you get to choose what happens to a point and you can invest (bet) as much of yourself as you want. The more you invest, the bigger the risk - obviously - but there's also the chance of an even bigger payoff. There's also insurance so in case you do lose, you don't take so hard of a hit. No matter what happens, though, all you can do is keep playing till you cash in your chips at the end. Factor in the cards you get handed, and it winds up being about half-and-half.

All things considered, all you can do is play the cards you get. Ya step on someone else's toes now and then, but whadda ya gonna do?
