I feel bad. Well, sorta. Anyway, much has happened since last time I updated. Wait - when was the last time I updated. Hold on, let me check. Okay, so I covered fencing camp before. So onto the convention and Rehoboth.
Convention: My word - it was just...stupendous. Truly, utterly, fantastically amazing. Some quick points before I get to the big stuff:
-Jonathan Woodward is hot in person, especially when bearded and wearing huge geeky glasses
-he's also really friendly, and came up to Laura and I during the cocktail party (we had an interesting conversation about tweaking nipples - another guy was involved)
-George Hertzberg is very, very attractive without the Adam makeup
-James Leary remembered me (and Laura), and we had a discussion about the placement of our nametags (aka on our breasts), and the band The Darkness
-Laura, Di and I decided Camden Toy, James Leary, and George Hertzberg should move in together into Mickey's attic because they are just too funny and awesome (the improv show was hilarious)
- Kelly Donovan looks like S2 Xander from afar, and is a very funny, very odd man who really likes thunderstorms
-Stacey Scowley, Kelly's girlfriend, is pretty and nice (I think this line is mostly filler)
- Christian Kane is a redneck, and so is his cousin Branden Hart, but Christian's hot and an incredible singer
-KANE kicks major ass - everyone should listen to their music
-Laura bought a CD of Jonathan Woodward, James Leary, George Hertzberg, and Camden Toy reading porn fanfic -- I can't wait to hear it
- Robia Lamorte was there. So was Iyari Limon. I didn't pay much attention to either.
Hmmm...that's about all I can think of for now. Di missed Friday, but she was sick, so I'm glad that she rested and was ready to rock out on Saturday.
My next entry will detail my adventures with ASH and include some of my 92 pictures (most of which have ASH in them), but here's a preview:
More to come soon on that.
Now onto Rehoboth.
The family vacation was tons of fun. I found out that vodka tastes like nothing, but I like fruity drinks with rum in them. I also finally understand poker (okay, that's a lie - I almost understand it), and learned Jessica's family's game, Barraca. I really need to teach it to everyone here - it's relatively easy once you learn the rules, and infinitely fun.
Oh! Got a tan, so I at least have a normal skin tone, instead of my "scary albino" look. Turns out I'm not becoming a vampire! Yay! I also ate waaaaaay too much shellfish, so I'm gonna stick to beef and chicken for the next week or so.
Story-time! Something I find funny but probably no one else will. So I'm walking around Rehoboth (it's not that big) and I'm listening to music on my Ipod. I decide to put on Fall Out Boy's "Sugar We're Going Down," one of my new favorite songs, and walk for a bit. Suddenly I see a store my mom had pointed out before. Reluctantly I turn off my music, and step into the store. Just as I'm walking in, the DJ on the radio station the store is playing announces the next song. Guess what it is? That's right, Fall Out Boy's "Sugar We're Going Down." I smiled and stuck around to the end of the song, but since there wasn't much in the store, I left and went back to my music.
Oh, and lastly, I've adopted a new multi-step program. It's a plan to become Alix De Wald. Here are the steps I've completed:
- eat pitas (mmmm, pitas)
- swim in pools with friends
- get obsessed with my digital camera and finally figure out how to post pics on lj (see above)
- buy blue sweatshirt that has the name of a vacation spot sewn on it (Shelter Island v. Rehoboth)
I hope that someday I'll achieve my goal of being as cool Alix. Of course, she could come visit me so I could take lessons from the master. Hint hint.
Catch ya on the flip side.
