Cats, valves, and asthma

Amongst our many (8) cats, we have a houseguest, namely, Rhiannon, the visiting fur-child of Bethanne Simms. She is a hefty little girl, probably weighing in at around 12 pounds. Well, quite aside from what you've suggested, I can't suggest anything other than keeping her warm and well-fed.

And the idea of cleaning out a cats valves... that's a mental image and a half.

it really does sound awful. then she goes off happily beating up the other cats like nothing is wrong...

but heck, *I* was having my throat start to seize up in sympathy..

My cat is asthmatic, and I do fire off shots of albuterol down his throat from time to time. He also enjoys Brethine and Flovent twice daily.

I don't want to cause a panic, but feline asthma can go from nothing to blue-tongue panting very quickly. Just keep an eye on her. There's a lot vets can do to help, from just giving her some time in pure oxygen to finding something to help her lungs recoup.
