People disgust me

ok, i just read the article, and now i remember why i didn't before. it's because it's SO DEPRESSING! and i sometimes avoid the news for this reason, which i realize doesn't make me a good citizen.

but like all other bad news lately, it spurs me to action, or at least reinforces my decision to take action when i'm less strapped for cash. hey wait a minute, you owe me money! you should pay up b/c when i get it it's getting split between now and planned parenthood. then i'm going to match it out of tomorrow's paycheck and split that between naral and the global fund for women.

it's amazing how much more money i've been giving to charity since a bush came back into office. i used to not even like now and naral, but that seems irrelevant now.

I've been discussing the article with one of our law friends, and can see some of the legal justifications for why the information wouldn't be considered privileged. The problem is that even if that can be considered proper procedure legally, the reasoning that the defense gave is just plain messed up. Like there even is such a thing as "typical" behavior for a victim of rape, other than being really upset.

I still don't like NOW, couldn't you just give all of it to Planned Parenthood? But yes, I do owe you money and you will receive it within a week, since I know that if nothing else I'll see you next Wednesday.
