Being a part of this age is nothing short of a tragedy. I should have been born into a time when more substantial things than consumerism and television were revered. I completely understand. For as much as I can't stand this age for the vast majority of the time, I know that I rely on technology way too much. I spend too much time on my computer. I definitely know that feeling though; when I was seeing someone up in Buffalo (about 4 hours away from here), it was always so nice to go up on weekends and get away from it for a while. We'd go out to coffee shops and bookstores, the park, or just stay in, watch movies, make food and have good conversations. It was so simplistic but really exhilarating, much more so than sitting around doing absolutely nothing because that's what technology allows us to do.
