Oh, Little Women. Ohhhh, Gabriel Byrne. (Yeah! I couldn't remember why just the sight of him kept making me sigh contentedly. Thanks for the reminder!)
oh my dear dear dear darling! You've come at last to Mike Mignola! <3 I am going to hug you now. IS KROENEN NOT THE MOST ADORABLE, POLITE, SOFT-SPOKEN LITTLE NAZI YOU'VE EVER SEEN??? I just want to like.... CHEW on him. Next up for victorian novel-readers and cultural-tidbit-enthusiasts; 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen', the next installment of which is rumored to include Threepenny Opera, which makes me incontinent with joy.
The only real explanation for why Jeremy Brett is no longer with us is that, simply, God hates us, and wishes us to suffer. Further proof of this is the loss of Conrad Veidt, Peter Lorrey, Audrey Hepburn, the cravat as fashionable menswear, and the fact that it is no longer 1920. By the time we loose Alan Moore, Guillermo del Toro and Neil Gaiman, the world will frankly have outlived its usefulness entirely. Also: powdered eggs. I rest my case.
GAH. I MISSED YOU. you inspire me to read (REALLY read), a habit which I have neglected sorely these last few years. NOOGIE TIME. <3

Tee hee. On your soon reading list, you should add the chapters I posted expressly for your convenience^_^ Nice pic, by the way. *chortle* battle of the Somme^_^ ~K
Ahahaha, oh whuppy, that picture is The Win. It totally looks like your dad too!! Excellent. Seriously?? RDJ = Holmes? Don't get me wrong, he's nice but....not....Holmes=y...blegh. Oh, it pains me that Sherlock Holmes is getting Hollywood-ized. No doubt he would sit in his armchair in a dress gown and smoke his pipe, eyes twinkling in a subtle "Aha, there are several flaws with this plan that you've yet to see" sort of way. Flaw #1 being JUDE FER-CHRIS'-SAKE LAW. Really?? Ugh. I am disgusted.

...it could totally happen, shut up.
Oh yes. Little Women was pretty much a cornerstone of my childhood. So much love.
