I wanted to share a message from my overseas program coordinator with everyone:

"FYI, a lot of students wear Khaki pants to work. This is fine, but don't call them khaki pants while you are there. Khaki in Scotland means poopy and pants means underwear, so you get the idea... Call them beige trousers."

Yeah, "khaki" is an hindi word. It means brown. A similar sounding variant, "khaka" means feces.
