Re-reading The Last Unicorn, I realized that some of my description is similar to (but nowhere near as good as) Peter S. Beagle's. I love it when I can use previously-thought-up-but-not-written-out ideas for my brigits_flame prompts. Takes a lot of time out of the whole "brainstorming" portion. It does mean a certain amount of possible retrofitting, however.

Feh. I'd wanted to write this, anyway, so this is a good enough excuse.
