Of All I've Lost

Went to see the new Indiana Jones movie today. Liked it all right, though if this was the version of the script with the weird crap dialed back a bit . . . uhm . . . Yeah. I'll refrain from further spoilers, except for one very minor scene from the movie that has nothing to do with the plot. Basically, Indy is reminiscing with a friend the ( Read more... )

(*hugs!*)
She is SUCH a beautiful cat - that beautiful chocolate fur and those adorable triangle ears are so perfect!

I still haven't gotten over my first cat (nor the second, for that matter!), but now it's equally hard to imagine life without the three furry hoodlums running this place. It's so painful that they don't get to share more years with us - yet the joy they fit into that short time is absolutely incredible.
I still cry sometimes when I think of those first two cats - but I have to smile, too. It's a bittersweet happiness, but it's still happiness. =)

I don't remember much about the cats we had back when I was very little, but I do still get a little sad sometimes thinking about C.B. and Elephant, the two cats I grew up with. My main regret there was that I wasn't there when they passed on. Losing them was very hard on my Mum, since I was in California, and, at the time, they were all she had. She has yet to get another pet of any kind there, but loss like that is even harder for her than me, for reasons I won't go into here.

It's hard to imagine I will ever get another cat, but I might one day. In the meantime, I have my own Terrible Trio to look after right now. :) I hope Memphis doesn't think I'm too traitorous for having rats in the house. ;) They are such characters, though.

Thank you. Yeah, she was such a gorgeous kitty. Hard to believe how neglected and abused she apparently was before I got a hold of her. I don't see how anyone could be mean to her. Mad at her now and then when she'd get into trouble, sure, but mean? She was just such a sweet, pretty girl.
