Let me begin at the beginning:

Any and all banks can do exactly what Wachovia did. It's perfectly legal and common practice. I used to work at a bank and their policy was exactly the same. I'm not going to devolve into the nitty gritty of it all, but in the end it really sucks and shit like this happens in every bank. I used to get people all the time wondering why the hell I wouldn't cash their check because come to find out the bank put a spontaneous hold on a check and their account didn't have the money. And it only got better when the customer wasn't aware that a hold had been put on the check. So yeah, I understand your irateness. I"ve been on the recieving end. So far as the closing your account due to inappropriate language- thank them for not having to deal with them any longer and know it's prolly cause you got a CS rep who was on her period and took something you said the wrong way. In the end fuck um.

I tend to agree, although the way a bank handle complaints and such goes a LONG way. LOL

I just had a debit card charge take 3 days to go through. Luckily, it rolls over into my savings if there's a problem. One day before, it would've been fine, and a day later it would've been fine (since I just got paid)... *rolls eyes*

hehe...I thoroughly agree. Course we try not to be mean about it, mostly it just started out as pure confusion as to why and devolved from there.

*hugs* Enjoying the new job? Glad that you don't have to deal with us crazy people at the bank anymore =)

I have no doubt that either of you were mean about it.

The new job is great. I love it. And yeah, I couldn't imagine still working for the bank. I think I'd have done something drastic by this point if I did.

Lambert's ROCKS!!

Course I now found a place down here that I can get all you can eat crab legs, and I'm hoping to look at a condo sometime this week, they have a good price on it, and heck it'd be cool to be right on the ocean...Penthouse style no less.

the really crummy part was the national line was just as bad as the lady. If it hadn't been for Suzanne we would have pulled our account. Course now we have a nice lady at Regions who's all set to help us get set up, so who knows, maybe it will be a good change for us.

*hugs* You need to come see us sometime, we miss you sweety.

You mentioned Regions and Amsouth as the other two major banks in your area - you should probably know that we've had very similar situations with both of them. And Regions is buying Amsouth, which is going to make them that much worse.

I wonder if I could keep my money in a nice, European bank...
