Um....please don't read this if you are easily offended, but um this is ridiculous as a girl I am ashamed to be one. I never knew we could stoop so low. But I have to say it made me laugh, could you imagine.....a one night stand or five minutes of relief could earn you a phone call looking for child support years later

Thank you, thank you! Sorry it took me so long to get back to ya. I've been busy as hell with said new job. It's been great. I cannot say how happy I am with it. The training week was innundated with information and whatnot. The environment is very different from Apple. It's a small office, very tight knit. Everyone is very supportive. You can chat directly with the L2s, face to face. And they invite you to, too. :) It's hella cool. Okay, so I don't get why we have to dress up for the job, but whatever. So I have to wear slacks and a button down and a jacket Monday through Thursday, big deal. I kinda like dressing that way, anyway

That is f'ed up. What upsets me most is using the child as leverage: "'There's a 5-year-old child here,' Mirabelli said. 'Imagine how a child feels when your father says he feels emotionally damaged by your birth.'" Seriously, no one denies there are a lot of irresponsible fathers out there, but that is bull. The child isn't the only victim in this scenario -- the father is. That's a nightmare situation for anyone, essentially the equivalent of impregnating a woman without her consent. How about imagining the child's reaction in adulthood to learning how their mother got pregnant?

I know of another situation some time back where a lesbian couple asked a male friend to help them fulfill their dream of motherhood by impregnating one of them via artificial insemination, which he did. Shortly after, the couple split up, and the new mother sued the male for child support. Again, f'ed up.
