i just worked out that i turn 30 bits on my next birthday
(well 9 and a bit (haha) days after)

Has to be seconds, since 2^30 is 1073741824

1073741824 / 60 seconds = 17895697.06666667 minutes
17895697.0667 / 60 minutes = 298261.6177778 hours
298261.61778 / 24 hours = 12427.5674074074 days
12427.5674074 / 365 days = 34.048129883 years

The .048129883 is 17.56 days, less 8 days for the leap years in 34 years, leaves us with the 9 and a bit days mentioned ;)
