Is there any where near you that trains people in the beauty area? Like a beauty college or a beauty/hairdressing course? The reason being that the students need to practice on people, and so you could get your hair cut for free - <£5ish.

I know it csounds a bit dodgy, but I'm assuming you only need a trim rather than anything drastic, so that should limit the chances of anything going wonky. Plus the students will be supervised and trained.
