I sometimes forget that she would have known quite a bit about the family whether she wanted to or not.

Nicely done :)

I know! It's an interesting thing to think about, actually. The only time I really think they addressed it was when Holly told Justin she knew who he was, way back in season 1. It'd be neat to have a moment or something where it's revealed how much she actually knows about them.

Thank you! I really enjoyed writing this one!

Thanks! I'm glad they've rounded Holly out, as a character, more this season!

It's nice to read about Holly. I like her and especially this season (I really enjoyed her scenes with Nora :)).

Well done!

Thanks! Me too! I've always felt that the tentative friendship between Nora and Holly was much more interesting and dramatic than the constant bickering! Hope we get more of that.

I thought this was great, mostly because it made me think. I go back and forth on Holly...I like her when she's being friends with Nora. But then I remember that she carried on a long-term affair with a married man with children, and enabled William's BS for years. To me, that's inexcusable, on both Holly's and William's parts. They didn't just cheat Nora, they also cheated the five kids, not to mention Rebecca and Ryan and Ryan's mom. Think of all the stuff William was missing with his KIDS when he was busy with Holly etc.!
**steps off soapbox**
That being said, I feel so sorry for Holly in this fic; it's clear she's got a lot of issues if she puts up with this for so long, and even thinks of it as normal. I kind of want to smack her, but also hug her. Great job.

Thanks!

I certainly don't condone Holly's actions, but I do find her interesting (when they actually flesh out her character). One of the stand-out moments for me has always been her breakdown with Saul after Nora called her out at the pool party back in season 1. She says something like "I won't be invisible any longer." And on one hand, I thought - well, it's your own fault for being with a married man. And on the other hand, I thought - how low self-esteem must someone have to be willing to live this life? And on...a foot or something, I thought - how much would that eat away at someone, living 20+ years where you are always seen as and considered to be completely alone in life, and can never acknowledge the relationship you have with a man you love? Anyway, I think she's got some layers that are fun to explore.

I see we are of one mind on Holly; I would have said all of that too, except I didn't want to write an entire chapter on your journal :). I just went back and read all of your Kevin/Scotty stuff though (I like Holly, Nora, et. al., but K/S are why I watch the show) and I think your K/S is my new canon. :)
