I just got this desire to write... i have so many thoughts bothering my mind. Every time I've put the TV or radio on the past few days, all i hear and see are dead people, people crying, horrid pictures of bodies drifting in waters. Over 60 000 people died in a matter of hours... and here we are on the other side of the globe, going about our every

if you really really wanted to help, you could send money to the Red Cross or other organizations doing relief work.
but just thinking about it is obviously the first step. I agree that many Westerners, and in particualar Americans, are clueless and unmoved by significant happenings in other parts of the world. The 1994 war in Rowanda with the tusi/hutus (i dont know how to spell them) is a great example. It was almost a holocaust/genocide there and we hardly blinked an eye.
Try talking to your friends and see their reactions, most important is that we talk about these things.
