Bandwidth Stealers, beware!

So, I get bored earlier today, and I do a search on Google for my user name "wiccanpain". Well, it's got a few hits, mostly because of my MySpace and LJ profile, but also some others. And then I come across this one hit...and at the bottom of it, it says this...

"NBXMAS moodtheme: engravedheart & hosted by: wiccanpain"

So, in other words, the ( Read more... )

what an incredibly rude bitch. I wonder if she thought you wouldn't find out, if she doesn't knwo how to save and upload pix herself, or if she's just stupid. Or maybe a combination of things. I dunno, but I'd be pissed off too.

I could almost accept that, but if you go to the place I got my mood set from, the girl gives you a text on how to upload them to a place like Photobucket, how to link them, and how to set up the mood set with LJ. She just didn't bother doing any of that.

I didn't know where you got them (or if you had made them), but if there were instructions on how to save them to your own harddrive, and she ignored them, I'd be furious.

I got them from engravedheart, and she lets people use them as long as they credit her, which I did on my user profile page. This girl did too, on her friends only post, and then credited me for hosting it. You can see it here, all the way at the bottom.

1. your post is public so if that person comes looking for you, they will see this post.

2. they probably found you if you have your interests listed as nightmare before christmas, because her journal title is something about Corpse Bride.

3. sometimes, people know how to steal bandwidth by using links and whatnot, but they don't actually know what that means to "steal" it and that it's Not Nice.

all's i'm sayin. :)

I purposefully left it public so if she does come looking she can see it. This really infuriated me, and I even commented on her journal telling her to stop stealing my PB account bandwidth and to host the images to her own server.

I've since deleted the images from PB, so she just gets broken links now.

And she says that the graphics are "hosted by wiccanpain", so she knew what she was doing. Just too damy lazy to do it herself.

Very rude. I left a comment on her friends only post telling her that I didn't appreciate it. Then I had to delete all my pics. So irritating.

What really pissed me off was that she knew what she was doing!

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude, she needs to be hurt... oh yes - she needs to be hurt...

How in the hell do you just ignore all niceities and protocol and do something like that?

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah - some people... and some people's children...

*cracks knuckles menacingly*

Ya know, I don't care if someone takes my icons, ya know? I mean, at least credit me if I made them. If I knew who had made half of the ones I have, I would do it, but I don't.

But, don't steal my PB account bandwidth! And try to act like it's all good! I had to delete that entire mood theme...so now, her journal has all those beautiful "Oops! This image has been removed!" things from Photobucket. You can see it here if you want.

*checks out the page and giggles*

it serves her right - this is truly an instance of someone deserving the treatment she received...

Just noticed that she is very free with warning others not to steal her icons - but she was very free with just using up your bandwidth...

I REALLY hate skanks like that

I wonder if she stole moods from the other people? Should we comment in their journals and let them know?

She has another one listed like that on her FO entry, but it's someone she has listed as a friend. Let that person deal with it. I know it sounds callous, but, if anyone noticed it on there before, no one told me.

Sorry...I'm in one of those "Fuck it" moods right now.

What caused the "Fuck It" mood? Just this? or something else?
