Ha! Because of you, I got to show up a bombastic idiot whose company I enjoy. He was blabbering about how he had played tennis for 2 hours, and about how he had blisters and whatnot. Then he started calling one of our mutual friends a not-so-good tennis player, and giving her advice. His advice started with, "Get a better raquet. You'll never get a raquet as good as mine (it's the top of the line)."

Me: So, how light is it?

Him: Oh, 7 ounces.

Me: *raises one eyebrow (the left one, I can't do the right one)*

Him: Wait, what am I saying? Like 9 ounces. Nine point something. Seven! That's insanely light.

And then I got to laugh at him because you said your raquet was 8.6 ounces. He's such good company, but he's almost always wrong. And the funniest part is that he always thinks he's right.

We have a dead heavy tennis raquet from ages ago. My dad bought it when he first came to this country. Note: that was when he still dyed his hair/still had lots of black hair. Your pick.

it weighed less nd stuff...i thought it would be easier ( ... )

mythili, at least you GET a laptop before college.
::sigh:: i'm just in a jumpy mood
haha
what type of comp were you gonna get? like dell, etc?
bc the dell ultraportable ones might have a CD-R/RW drive and maybe even a DVD one. hold on, lemme check. (my dad just got a new desktop and i'm jealous).
okay here goes
it's 3 pounds. but that's still light. it has a 24x CD burner/dvd combo, 1.20 ghz, 12.1" display
lol my sister has a desktop replacement model. 8 or so pounds, but very nice comp. i'm jealous.
okay anyway here's the info for the portable one. it's 5 lbs, 1.5 GHz, same type of drive. 14.1 inch screen.

well 5lbs really isn't that much. your math textbook was probably around that. or maybe a couple pounds heavier. couple pounds heavier= faster and more stuff for you to play with.

your life complicated? eh. i don't have either a cell or laptop, so that makes my life simple. hahahaha.

have fun.

Get, got, same diff, ne? ;)

Oh. So maybe when it doesn't say external they expect you to be smart and realise it's internal.

Dear lord, I've been to so many laptop manufacturer sites in the past two months my head is spinning. You'd think I'd know this stuff already, but every time I log on to one of these sites I seem to forget everything.

I want an IBM, though. Go check the X/T series at www.ibm.com

You aren't dead! I've been commenting on most of your entries (blame my computer that half of them didn't show up) and I thought you had hitch hiked to Mallorca or something.

Grounded? Wow, I feel confident. You try having esteem problems when the world insists you don't. Or vice versa; you try not having esteem problems when everyone is convinced you do [more like "everyone is convinced you should." Makes more sense].

Pah. I can't read people whose company I enjoy. I can read a complete stranger, but closest aquantinces? No, I have to bungle up everything, including receiving gifts. How difficult is it to receive a gift?
