shikon_hime. 9 steps for a glowing Hinata!

Level: Easy
Program: Adobe Photoshop 7.0

Go from this to this:

1. Start out with this picture of Hinata and crop it at 96x96 with plenty of room on the side.

You should see something like this:

2. Sharpen the picture (FILTER>>SHARPEN>>SPARPEN).

You should see something like this:

3. Use this texture by me and set it at OVERLAY at 50% opacity.

You should see something like this:

4. Use this edited (I slightly moved one of the light dots so it wouldn't cover her face) texture by
myrasis. Set it at SCREEN at 100% opacity.

You should see something like this:

5. Take the Rounded Rectanble Tool and make a rounded rectangle in #F0A261 on the side, slightly covering Hinata's back. Set this to 75% opacity.

You should see something like this:

6. Type in 'H' in Young Love, 48 pt, and #C76A4B slightly overlapping Hinata's back. Then type 'hopeful' in Copperhead Gothic Bold, 10 pt, and #BD5A40 on the rectangle. Change blending options so there's Outher Glow on 'hopeful'.

You should see something like this:

7. Use this dotted text brush by me in #BD5A40 and paint a stroke below 'hopeful'.

You should see something like this:

8. Use this dotted line brush me and paint a stroke on the side in #A02118. Sharpen it if it's too light(FILTER>>SHARPEN>>SHARPEN) and erase any parts covering the text.

You should see something like this:

9. Save the icon as a .png and open a fresh 100x100 document. Reopen your icon and then use this dotted brush tool by me in #BD5A40. Viola! All done!

Your finished product should look like this:
