Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't even be in a relationship. Not now, not ever. I keep hurting people. I find ways to twist their hearts around until they feel like nothing and that they're totally useless. I'm evil. I really am, at the core.
But then she smiles at me, and I feel as if my thoughts about myself are wrong. I feel as if I am good instead of bad. I feel as if I’m on top of the world. Her smile lights up my darkened soul, which otherwise decays.
