I sat down on the big, weird but cool, circular couch thing in the lobby and sighed. Angel was evil? I knew he could turn evil if he had a perfect moment of happiness, or at least someone told me that, but....with no body that shouldn't have been an issue. And now, the most vivid and good memory I had from my former life was out running the streets ( Read more... )

Fred's words catch my attention and I turn away from Wesley for the moment. There's a shrill tension to her voice that I've never heard before.

I realize then that Cordy's news of Angel becoming evil Angelus again has hit her pretty hard. In fact she has that look, the look of someone who's ready to do something rash.

"Don't worry Fred. We'll find him. And I promise you, I'll make it quick. I owe him that much." I try to reassure her, patting her tentatively on her back.

I turned looked at him out of the corner of my eye and frowned, "Listen here Captain Clorox, we're not killing Angel, no matter what you say." I shrugged his hand off of me and looked at him then at Wesley, "Right?"

Killing Angel couldn't be an option. If it was, then I would go out and find him and tell him they were after him. Sure, I'd die, but at least he'd have a headstart.

So much for giving comfort. I move back a step, jaw clenching at her dismissal of me and her insistance on Wesley's input. Guess he's still the boss. Not that I care.

"Fine. You go have a lovely heart to heart with him. Talk him down with tales of redemption and puppies. Me, I'll be waiting on the sidelines with a stake and a sword. When you need your ass saved because Angelus' isn't playing nice, just say the word, petal. I'll come running and slap him on the wrist for you." I stalk over to the weapons cabinet and start selecting from the arsenal.

They don't know Angelus like I know him. What he's capable of. What he'd do to Fred or Cordy if given half the chance. I do.

I frowned and stared at Spike's back. If I didn't already know that Spike had no feelings, I would have thought I just hurt his. But right now Spike's feelings, or lack thereof, would have to wait. We needed to save Angel, and everyone else, from himself.

I did say, "I know Angelus is evil, that's why we have to stop him, but that doesn't mean we have to kill him, Spike." I looked at Wesley and crossed my arms over my chest, "What do we do...?"

"Alright lie down." She gives me a have I gone bonkers look and I roll my eyes. "Just do it. I'm serious." She finally lies on the ground and I straddle her body.

"If your arms are free, go for a strike to the eyes or the throat with your fingers or chop of the hand. If they are pinned like this..." I grabbed her arms and held them by the wrists over her head. "Then your best bet is to use your legs to roll him off of you, that or knee him in the groin."

I look down at her, pliantly listening to my instruction and I suddenly get this urge to duck down and kiss that pert mouth of hers. It's pretty darn close for the taking...

Lay down? Was he crazy? I guess he and I both were, because here I am, laying on the floor with a vampire straddling me. I liked his weight on top of me...pressing down. Wait...what was he saying? Oh...eyes...throat...ok. I'll remember that...honest.

I watched his mouth move and trie to concentrate on what he said, I really did. But his accent and the muscles in his arms, over my head, were really distracting. I took a breath, felt a shiver go through me and finally said, "Ok, but what if they don't have a groin...?"

I gave him a small smile and wondered why he was staring so hard at my mouth....?

Do I dare? She was looking so tasty, there beneath me.

"Everything has a groin. You just have to know where. Try between the legs, or behind the knees or on occasion, the horns." I smirk down at her, enjoying the feel of her hips under mine. I wonder if she could buck me off, maybe we should test this.

"Ok, I am the attacker, so what are you going to do?" I lean in with a cheeky grin and start trying to kiss her exposed neck, her wrist still pinned above her head.

He was kissing my neck. Right this second...his lips were on my neck. Was I supposed to be doing something? Something besides enjoying his mouth on my skin? Um...think Fred...think....

Oh yeah! I brought my knee up quickly between his legs, and stopped short of his....unmentionables. I whispered, "Like that..." I hoped he said now and told me to try again. Ohh, bad Fred!!! Bad!

Coming out of the bathroom in the clothes Doyle had given me I raised an eyebrow at Fred and Spike. "What are you two doing?" Not that I even wanted to know, and hey whatever it was, it couldn't possibly be more embarressing than finding yourself tied up to the stairs naked where everyone could see you.

"Never mind." I said quickly, as I looked around. Where had Wesley gone anyways? I really needed to talk to him, preferably in private where I could let him know how I really felt about him deciding to up and take off on the business that we owned together. Who knew what that British man thought about these days. I did throw out all his tea though, maybe he just went to get more ( ... )

I shove my hands in my jeans pockets when Cordelia comes back out, asking what Fred and I were up to. I catch Fred's eye and manage to look a little sheepish, I try to cover the moment with some bluster ( ... )

"I don't even really know what I did wrong!" I exclaimed to Spike pointing out the fact that I really wasn't a witch. "We need a witch, and the only one I know of is Willow." Looking up I met Spike's eyes and knew what he was thinking.

Yes, there was a reason why we didn't talk to Buffy anymore, or her friends. It's because we liked to stay slayer free around here, except for the occasional Faith popping in. And let's be honest none of us liked seeing her either.

"Fred, do you think you can look into this spell?" I asked, even though I could practically see the wheels in her head turning. "I'm going to make a few phone calls, see if I can't figure something out." I said turning and heading to the lobby to use the phone.

I took the book she was talking about and glanced down at the spell. Me? Look into a spell? Maybe Angelus knocked Cordelia on the head and she forgot that I don't know about this shit anymore. I looked at some of the words, and I was pretty sure, I couldn't pronounce half of them, let alone know what they meant.

I looked at Spike and then at Doyle, who was apparently a sneaky bastard and wandered in during the impromptu training session Spike gave me without making a noise. I swallowed and said, "Yeah, finding Willow sounds like a good idea...or another witch...or something. Because..." I pointed at a word in the book and shook my head, "I don't even know what this means."
