ok heres the dilemna, i mean hypothetical situation. is it ok for someone to go to dinner w/someone else if both of those people have bf's/gf's etc. opposite sexes in case anyone was wondering. it's just two people who have been friends for a long time and might have dated for a little while once upon a time, but nothing serious. my first reaction ( Read more... )

The people in question are old friends--hands down. No matter what their past together was, so long as it's just friends presently, then there shouldn't be a problem. The significant others of said parties involved should have faith enough in their partner to trust them. If not, perhaps it is the partner, not the friend who has the problem. Furthermore, humans are social animals, and they deserve the right to hang out----as friends.

My initial reaction is to say yes, but I know what you mean, some would say no. I tend to trust people a lot, however, and I feel people should be able to do most whatever they want, independent of relationships.
