I am concerned about Wicked growing too large. This year I felt there were way too many people at the Doubletree. The hallways were overcrowded and the performance spaces were overwhelmed. The idea of adding more hotels and shuttling guests back and forth is not one that I think should be undertaken lightly. I find myself only attending the performances that take place within the host hotel. Although I think the idea of a living event is a good one, I feel that bigger is not always better.

You know, we had fewer people at the Doubletree last year than the years before?

In terms of adding hotels - I definitely agree that it shouldn't be taken lightly. Right now, though, we may not have a choice--but I'll be writing about that soon.

One option I strongly would approve of would be to release pressure temporally, not spatially. Make it a four day event so that people feel less of a need to cram themselves into every single popular event.

(obviously, I'm talking a bit further on, not about this coming WF, which is already logistically grounded)

You know, that's odd, because Wicked last year was smaller than the year before.

We ended up booking on the 2nd, regardless of not knowing how much...(and, we were concerned about the hotel being booked up..)
