State of the World : 13 and 15 year olds having babies

This is no big news, but when Andy sent me this today I was shocked by how baby faced the boy was who is a father to a baby with a 15 year old girl. He is only 13! EWWWW! It is just so crazy...poor kids...I feel bad for their parents too!http://www.thesun.co.uk/

This is so disturbing. The girl looks like she's 20 and he looks 10! So disturbing. I am now going to go lock up my 8 month old....

25 years ago, I worked obstetrics. I will never forget the 16 year old mom and the `14 year old father. Grandma was 32. All were just pleased as punch. Grandma's mother was there too. She looked to be at least 70. She was the ONLY one not happy. And it showed all over her. I could tell that she had supported her daughter's child. And fully expected to have to support her granddaughter's child. Very sad.

A few weeks later, there was an 8 or 10 yearold in the waiting room. I asked was he excited to become an uncle. Oh no, he already was one. His older brother had a baby already. Yeah. The 14 year old dad? His sister was having a baby. I think the sister was 17. That was a bit sad as well.

Studies used to show that girls who got pregnant young, it was a male in the household. Not the boyfriend she claims. Like, she claimed the boyfriend, who agreed to marry her. So she could get out the house and away from the person abusing her.

Now though, I don't know if that is the case anymore.
