Well, Happy Father's Day to all you daddies out there!

Today, we were up, sleepy* and got ready in a hurry to go to Austin to see both of our families. So we got in the car and took off as fast as we could. We were pretty pleased that we got on the road so quickly!

I'm glad your car drama was easily solved! Why do these things always happen on weekends?

I have the same where's-the-cat? moments. The fastest thing I've discovered is to get them trained to respond to the cat treat bag. That usually wakes mine up, anyway.

Heh. Flats always happen when you want to get somewhere early, or you're already late.

Get used to the cat moments. I think the phrase most yelled in my house last year was "SHUT THE DOOR!" One tip we learned with Murphy was to get him used to a specific sound for treats. He'd just about knock us over when we rattled the bag.
