Great entry! I've reached the "You're too heavy" stage with boys of my boys at this point and I really miss the days when I could just carry them around all day...

Yeah it kind of sucks, but just one of those bittersweet milestones that comes with having kids. *smiles*

Well maybe a very small consolation is that they're not yet too heavy to sit on your lap. Once they pass that the distance seems to grow. That independence is now inevitable.

True, I have no kids of my own but I lived with my sister's kids for 8 years - birth to age 8 and it was hard when they got too heavy to sit on my lap. Although there is still the odd time where they'll try. (Current ages: 29, 28, & 26.) ^_^
