*Continue to love Joey like burning. He and Kevin stealing the liquor was just, kind of adorable in a way. IJS

*Jimmy? Can die right the hell now. As soon as I heard him talking in the bar when I saw the preview I was all, "YOU KNOW, TOMMY SHOULD PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE A LOT AND THEN KEVIN SHOULD HELP HIM AND ONCE SEAN WAKES UP, HE SHOULD KICK YOU" I really liked, what I felt like anyway, were the sort of parallels set up between Huey/Tommy and Dokey/Jimmy as well as the stuff between Tommy and Huey's son. The Huey and baby!Tommy flashback was a killer. (God, the "You are man/grown up now, take care of your mom and sister brothers" thing? KILLED ME DEAD). To me, this further (obviously) puts down more groundwork for us that, no, it's not just because of the accident that Tommy is Tommy. It's that, *Tommy is always the responsible one*. It's why Ma turns to Tommy in the hospital stuff in "God is a Comedian" and Frankie and Huey all come to Tommy, *he's always been the one to take care of everything.* So Tommy? Cannot possibly walk away because he's never done that. For Tommy to walk away from Jimmy (or Kevin, or Sean, or Ma) is just not something that he could honestly entertain in anyway that doesn't make him go, "Huh? What?" It would be someone else's life.

*Oh, KEVIN WILL DATE YOUR DAUGHTER is the best threat ever. ILU Kevin and Tommy. <3

* Jenny, Jenny, Jenny <3. (Though, uh I'm assuming that with her confession to Tommy and the sexin' and then no sexin' she has decided to toss out this "I'm a married woman" thing? Clarification, plz? I'm fanwanking her "But I'm a married woman" thing in the Pilot as a "LA LA LA EXCUSE CAKES" to avoid actually having to be all doing anything about her confession to Tommy? Also, fanwanking that she knows more about her husband than most are thinking. I mean, that's the kind of thing one *knows* right? Or should be able to just feel). I loved her in the basement and that she was all, "WHAT THE FUCK!11" to Tommy about Huey's wake. She... she just wants him to be the boy she thought he was. She doesn't want him to be *this guy*.

The thing is, Tommy still seems to think that he can make everything just like it was no really see! See, he's the same Tommy! And Jenny knows that it's just not like that. I mean, though I called Joey on his entire "Jenny is the price!" thing in 1x2, there is a price for Tommy when it comes to Jenny. I mean, the price that they were really talking about there was Tommy's soul, but you know Jenny? Kinda acting as a partial representation of that here. She's that person that's got to make Tommy realize what he's leaving behind every time he strips away another part of his humanity. I know people are going to hate Jenny for what she did at the end with Samson, but a)Jenny deserves to find happiness somewhere and as much as she loves Tommy (and she *does*) she doesn't deserve to ignore the mess he's creating or put herself in that place and b) the very real thing that the life Tommy is choosing is one that Jenny doesn't want to accept. I mean, look she just sat there and watched Kate Farrell stand there with her son at her husband's funereal and this is... not helping. I do think Jenny believes that being with Tommy is giving him approval his current choices, and she can't (for a number of reasons) do that. She cleaned up the blood that one time, she had Tommy come to her with death and violence all over him, she probably never wants to do that again.

Conclusion, ILU Jenny and Jenny/Tommy. Now more than ever.

*Other stuff. I really don't know that I buy any of the really complex theories going around about Joey the unreliable narrator. I just, it doesn't feel like that sort of story. There's a twist, but I don't think it is Joey the Criminal Mastermind. I don't know what it is? And I could be wrong, I just don't think a)Haggis is subtle enough to do that without it being v. obvious and so b)to me, there haven't been any clues that really this is all Joey! Or something. But, like I said, I could be so very wrong on that.

Ma Donnelly and Jimmy, oh man. The "We don't need your brother's kind of trouble" here or whatever? Jesus, you know as much as the brothers seem to not give up on Jimmy it seems... not that she's cut her losses, but she knows he's a liability to the rest of the family and it's very... damn. And again, may I say, that Jimmy needs to be punched in the face. Not only bragging in the bar about his brothers killing for him, but then just spilling everything to Joanie? NOT COOL JIMMY. PUNCH IN THE FACE. Kevin attempting to get more respect for cabbies everywhere! Another episode where Sean mostly had to sit and look beat down, he's really good at that so go team Sean!

*Things what I'm still pondering over: What Sal and Huey were doing together/up to. We all know what Nicky's plan is (take over Sal's business), but how far back does it go/how deep in is he and if he's going to survive it because Alo clearly does not trust him and is mostly like, "let me see if he will earn me cash, then CRUSH HIM WITH A HAMMER" I think I like Alo, he's very... relaxed. ("You know, I think I liked your brother better than you. Just a bit").

Really, the only character that I'm not sold on at this point is Jimmy and it's mostly just because I WANT TO PUNCH HIM, and not because he doesn't work. I think some people object to him on the idea of how on earth the rest of his family (Tommy especially) could keep saving his ass even though he's such a fucking jerk. The thing is though, that's what you do in this story, it doesn't make sense and isn't logical, but that's family. It makes no sense.
