Have any of you seen Al Gore's movie? It's beautifully done and masterfully so. Some documentaries with a sharp focus on message sometimes forget the importance of medium

I was waiting to hear a good review from someone I knew personally before tackling this one. I've heard from both sides of the fence of course. The liberals have been crying out about how amazing the movie is, and the conservatives are all calling it a pack of lies. I'm sure that if you say it's good, I'll like it. I've always trusted your sensibilities when it comes to entertainment, particularly with movies.

I haven't seen the film, and I'm certain it won't show up here. Maybe when it gets a DVD or satellite tv release.

I did come across this article giving a dissenting opinion, one that I don't think is entirely based on Bush's "in his pocket" scientists.

I think global warming is real, but it might also be cyclical, so maybe what's happening is a normal thing. But I don't think that's an excuse not to limit horrible things that are pumped into the atmosphere.

I'm nowhere near being a scientist, and it's true that there are always two sides, (or more) to any issue. However, it seems to me that we are seeing some pretty cataclysmic changes. Since I was a child, we've gone from snow every winter to none -- not up in your mountains, but in the El Paso/Juarez area. I bought my cabin in part because I went up there cross country skiing every winter. Now, unless I'm there and ready to go, the snow doesn't last long enough for an enjoyable time
