The writing workshop finished up yesterday.  Considering the bitch of a time I had getting us a place to do it and figuring out advertising, and that most everyone waited until the last minute to tell us their kids were coming, things turned out...well...pretty fucking fantastic, actually.  We had four of our favorite kids back from last year, and

laura love! <3 i miss you. i wish i could come up to visit for your birthday :( i will visit you at some point though. i got an internship at the photo department of rolling stone magazine! so i'll be starting that on september 7th and commuting into the city two days a week for it. im SO super psyched. what a big deal! yay. i miss you laura. i am looking forward to seeing the compilation of all the kids' work when i see you! im so glad you do this, it sounds like so much fun.

the previews for pulse made it look like it'd actually be scary, and when you watch them at night by yourself, they are... but it was my guess that they'd put ALL scary parts for previews and then leave the movie with great amounts of shittyness to be seen. (shame on your sister for taking you!!)

That's exactly what they did with Pulse! Yeah, it looks creepy, but then all the other stuff NOT in the previews just leaves you sort of "...?...Heh!" And I don't think that's what they were going for.

Thank goodness for less humidity! It was pretty miserable there for awhile!

HA, i can't wait for you to visit! And of course you can stay with me! I'm sure we can make room, and if it's a problem, there's always becky's place right next door (more or less)! So no worries on that count!
