Yeah, went downtown, met a pretty cool girl who was watching over her friend. Had a good convo, but left to get more drunk and "dance". Anyways, if you don't already have my FB name, I really didn't feel like going home alone tonight, but work beckons in a few hours anyways. Here's hoping my weekend turns out better.

Unsolicited advice to getting a one-night stand

-Be confident
-Be an ass
-Compliment (but sound sincere when you do it) - tell her she's beautiful
Flirt heavily and then make a move

As an example, after you're talking for a little bit, make her laugh, then say - "wow, you have a beautiful laugh" - or smile, or whatever. Joke around, then lightly hit her shoulder/arm during the joke to initiate skin contact - this goes a long way. Always take advantage of any opportunity to engage in non-creepy contact! Lightly rub her shoulders if you can, making sure to brush her neck with your hands (neck contact makes us fall all over ourselves,) but only for a little bit! You have to push and pull to keep us interested. When you're talking, give her your full attention, but then ignore her a little bit to show you're not too interested. Stay moderately nonchalant.

The idea is to project: "I'm not desperate-I can sleep with anyone I want, but I happen to be interested in YOU."
