so i went to the library today cuz i wanted to check out a good book to read but... alas i couldnt find anything i wanted... well actually i didnt know what i wanted which made finding it a little difficult... so if you will children: recommend me some books!!!! good ones kids... i like non fiction shit and uhh stuff about drugs and shit that ( Read more... )

As 'Nazi' as this sounds...

Mein Kampf is a damn good fucking read if you're into all the Hitler/Germany/WWII stuff

You can't get it at most libraries, but I'll let you read some of it when I come down there to visit in a couple weeks and if you like it I'll buy you a copy.

Another book you might like is a book called "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." It isn't a real story, but it isn't fantasy either. I never actually read through the whole book, but I know a lot of girls that have and they enjoyed it.

If you're into the whole Charles Manson/serial killer thing you can always pick up Helter Skelter which was pretty good.

I know you like Alice In Chains, so you should probably also take a look at Angry Chair: The Story of Layne Staley. Goes a lot into what he wrote about, his drug life, his ex that he lost due to heroin, and some other shit about the Seattle music scene.

I'm gonna recommend the Confederacy of Dunces...i mean...i haven't finished it yet...but i love the shit out of it. i've been trying to finish it since high school...it's a great book. the author never lived to see its publication cuz he killed himself and then his mom found the manuscript for it in his stuff and got it published..and it's weird cuz it's such a funny book...i don't know man. it's good stuff.
