Your weather sounds worthy of English weather. Every day last week it was barely above freezing with either a biting wind or frost on the ground when I left home to go to work in the mornings so I wore my winter coat (the mobile duvet). When I came home in the early evenings it was invariably really too warm to wear said coat. At least it hasn't poured with rain recently, still doesn't stop me having an umbrella in my bag and the summer before last I found I'd had a pair of wooly gloves in my handbag all summer.
