This post may be kind of depressing, so skip it if you feel like it.

I was messing around with Samurize, and decided that a clock would a cool thing to customize my computer with.  I've got a rather nifty steampunk design I'm working on for it atm, and a clock would be a great addition, you see.  Well, I go searching for designs I could steal, er ( Read more... )

Thanks Vorn. He does have a point, and I can certainly admire his efforts. Yet, what of those people he saves, only to have them follow through on their wishes when he's not there to try and save them? I'm just conflicted.

On the one side, life is a precious gift, not meant to be callously thrown away, but on the other, it's their life to live and do with as they will. That's the beauty of free will, after all. Self choice and decision making. Isn't it?

I don't think numbers ever truly struck me until I brought one of them into the world, and went through the near suicidal depression in learning what it requires to care for one throughout that first year of life.
300,442 had mothers who suffered the nine months of pregnancy and mothers/caretakers who suffered that first year for them.

With Mothers Day coming up, all I could ask for is that number to go down.

Amen, Lyn. Each one of those people had a life, a history, a background, and now it's gone. Along with what ever future contact they were supposed to have with others. It's just a waste, I fear.
