I saw that there was a clearance sale at MORBA, a pretty neat lighting store on Queen Street that always makes me think fondly of Morbo. So I went and bought a Le Klint knock-off pleated ceiling fixture for a low, low price and Nick and I replaced the hideous, paint-covered, circa 1984 light in our bedroom.

That thing is what I am doing for my birthday, the tea thing! I wish you and Nick would visit and join me.

One time I ruined a cake by making rose icing. It's just not right!

Nick and I would love to be a travelling, carefree, bohemian duo but we are chained to a house and some cats. Sadly, there is no possibility of taking a trip in our lives at the moment.

Even though I hated the rose cake (I knew I would), I surprised myself enjoying the melon-infused water.
