Beef, it's what's for dinner DOT COM

Dear The Beef Checkoff,

I imagine you think it's a lark to strike fear and nausea into the innocent hearts of Martha Stewart Living and Domino readers by hiding this image in the glossy pages of their tony periodicals.

Shame on you. This needs to stop.

Still dry heaving,
Lisa

Is there something I'm missing, or is just the amount of beef?

For a start, we have the suggestion of colossal boulders of beef: wet and shiny, and accessible only through a cloying expanse of ... what? The Beef Checkoff identifies this substance as bulgur, but to me it reads more like a gently sloping gradient of coarsely ground lard to finely ground lard, rising up from a sea of evenly rippled, hard plastic. And the parsley? Can you grow parsley in lard? Or bulgur? Can you imagine what that would taste like? Can you imagine what this landscape SMELLS like?

You don't want to visit The Land of Lean Beef in the hot summer.
