After the strand-6-daagse, I was in Holland for over a week. In that week I moved to Leeuwarden, and prepared for my next holiday to Vienna

So far, I've only seen one person during the past year, who walked barefoot out on the street. In my opinion, anyone who'd make negative comments about it, is way too uptight. Then again, many people are these days. Or they've been raised with a certain 'protocol' about what's proper to do out in public, and what isn't. Ah well, it's their loss if they've never felt what's it's like to walk outside, barefoot.
Yes, it is. I walk barefoot quite often. I haven't written about my graduation ceremony, but I attended it barefooted. Everyone thought it strange (well that didn't surprise me) but somehow it made me feel much more confident, much more in touch with myself. I can recommend it to anyone, but your right, most people won't try it, and that's their loss. At least we know what it feels like. :D
I think it might also be related to everything becoming 'cleaner'. People (especially those who consider themselves to be all grown-up) find it inappropriate to get dirty (or touch anything that'd get them dirty); they're very concerned with what other people might think about them, so even the idea of being ridiculed by their so-called 'friends' about walking barefoot prevents them from ever trying, eventhough they might want to, deep down inside.
Btw, have you been watching TV yesterday? There was a short documentary about the Maitreya Institute on Nederland 1 (BOS) at 2pm. :)
I couldn't, my (pregnant) sister was visiting me, but thanks for telling, I'll watch it on the website. I don't know if you knew, but I'm going to the Maitreya Institute the 1st of Octobre (Teensweekend). I really look forward to it.
WOW! You wrote a lot! your holiday(s) have been nice, as I already knew, and congratulations with your driver's licence! although I also did that already. Well, I'll see you some time probably, 24th/26th?
well, ehm, we have met yesterday, but not in the cinema. It is a bit late, but: the idea was nice, although we would have had less time to talk together. And since we don't see each other that much, this was also nice. I'll see you again this evening, bye!

They should all visit the Society for Barefoot Living.
Now all that's left are the photos to accompany all your stories. :)
