why do people have to get married

I don't understand it. All my friends are getting married. Even my 20 year old Nephew is getting married. All I'm doing is screwing up my life. This is so stupid. I'm so jealous I guess. I get to watch other people have successful lives, and I just keep making dumb choices.

...About the marriages. I've had a bunch of friends & close relatives get married in the last couple of years, but now I'm just starting to feel lonely. It seems like for the last generation, it was alright to wait until your late 20s or 30s to get married. Now I feel like our generation has this obsession with it...but then again, most people our age don't take things too seriously.

yeah lol. Its not that i'm not happy for these people but comeone whens it gonna be my turn, to have a good relationship

Holy smokes, yeah! Now it's like, you're expected to get married in your early 20s. I'm thinking, dude, I can barely keep my life together, how am I supposed to do that with someone else? It seems to be just another thing on life's giant checklist- graduate high school (check), go to college (check), get married (check), have kids (check)... It's one big rush through life. It'll be real interesting to see where all these couples will be in ten, fifteen years. (About when I'll finally be getting married- ha!)

Marriage is overrated. Well- for now it is. :) If you can find a way down here when J and I get our new place we'll go out and have an awesome time. :)
