Odin Update

Odin has a mild ear infection in his right ear.  We have to start flushing the ear daily until it clears up.  I also learned that Chows have notoriously small ear drums and are prone to infection.  Therefore, we will have to start flushing both ears on a weekly basis for preventative maintenance.

Mancho is really prone to ear infections. It's such a pain to treat them, as it's obviously uncomfortable for him and all. We keep lots of treats nearby so that he at least associates the ear cleaning with extreme yumminess. It helps, but it's still not the perfect situation.

Poor guy! I hope the flushing does the trick - and that it doesn't run up too many bills. Are the ears flushed with a medicine, or just water?

It's an anti-bacterial formula I got from the vet. He didn't feel the need to add additional medication on top of the flush unless it didn't improve.
