Cats are officially gone.  They were not happy to be put in the travel carriers.  It turns out that their owners can no longer afford to keep the cats due to some outrageous rent they are paying.  His fiance put her foot down and said they have to go.  He is kind of upset because if he knew that they would eventually leave, he just would have found ( Read more... )

sorry you found you were not cat people but it is better now to find that out. Maybe I would have been interested. I am down to 1 now. Depends on attitude and neutered & declawed, inside or outside cat, etc. John's dad and I used to take in a lot of other people's cats when they could no longer keep them. Grandson has been sorta hinting to me that it may be time to think about another and Maxie Ann gets lonesome. Haven't been real motivated yet to actually go out and do it though.

They were exotic Bengal cats and worth about $900 for the pair. That is one of the reasons why he wanted someone to watch them instead of just bringing them to the Humane Society.

Actually, my daycare provider is took in a stray a couple of months ago. It was either that or let the poor thing get shot. She is trying to find a new home. Female, named Blue (smokey gray/blue in color), approximately 8-10 months old, indoor only since she was taken in, litter box trained, gets along great with kids and other cats. However, needs all shots and needs to be fixed. Let me know if you are interested and I'll get you the necessary information.

no $ for the necessary shots & spaying. John says I need a new computer and I definitely need new glasses. Maybe next time around.

I agree with the mess conundrum, and my kid can't even propell herself yet! Also, I think that carpet, especially with animals and kids, is kind of a disgusting proposition, don't you? It's like socks that never get washed.
