Beach-combing

On a more cheerful note, I have been beach-combing. 
Some time ago I found this little spot which seems to have some strange combination of currents and tides which means the beach is always full of glass and ceramics (oh, and apparently sea ceramics are an official thing, like sea glass is).  The glass is frosted from being in the sea, but not as ( Read more... )

As I only went down there to get craft materials, the idea of a second pair of hands (and eyes) who doesn't actually want to keep any of the stuff sounds good :)
I didn't know there were all those websites and swap-meets out there either. I just followed a link which lead to a link, and you know how it goes...

Great stuff. I found a marble once too, but I gave it away.
I miss beaches :(
(maybe Belgium will sink eventually due to global warming)

There's a spot in Malta where you can dive a wreck that sits at the bottom of a cliff which was the site of a former military hospital. You find lots of interesting stuff down there too, plates and stuff...
Also lots of ceramic shards in Valletta harbour.

Good finds, love the bottle stopper. In all the years of beachcombing I had never found a marble and this Spring I have found 2, it was exciting each time.
