Our 8 kid sleep over for k's birthday went ok except he wanted everyone to leave the day before. Too many kids for him to deal with. He had a mini break down and another one the next day. He's his mom. Great. What makes things worse is that while K and I have slightly improved our relationship, I hit her in the face w/ a nerf dart by accident ( Read more... )

I don't think women his/our age really appreciate them after so many years of marriage. Thus the whole beginning of affairs thing. It's not sex they're really after, but affirmation that they're still "marketable". =/ I suppose we can be the same way, however, if we're constantly underappreciated.

Exactly. The pull of ego needing to know if they're still attractive, marketable, etc seems to get stronger the longer the relationship lasts. But in his case I think part of it is that she's just a self-interested bitch.

Sorry, E, but you already knew I thought that of her.

Actually, squirreling money away is exactly what I would do if I were planning to leave (or kick someone out). As many times as she's said she's leaving lately I would be suspicious too.

Then again, maybe she took it out to buy you an anniversary gift.
