The security issue is very slight and only applies to certain situations, which are already largely taken care of. Women in Burqas already have to show their face (briefly) in banks and do so without problem. Yes, women in Burqas should have to show their faces at airports (preferably in a non-public room). Obvious stuff that does not justify a burqa ban.
The Burqa ban being discussed here in the UK, btw, is a complete ban where women will not be allowed to wear the Burqa -anywhere- in public.
