Diary: 2012-07-05: Levelling up
I think I've been pretty definitely neglecting this journal now. Despite having done quite a few interesting things, I've just not made the effort to update, which is a shame because the idea of chronicling my goings-on was something I quite liked (although possible for no particularly good reason).
So I'm now twenty-eight. This has put me in even more of a mad panic to 'do stuff'.
In fairness, the first half of this year is making that look promising. I've gone to caves, slept in mines, helped maintain labyrinths in Dorset, been up to Goth/fetish clubs multiple times in London, spent time with some people I haven't seen in ages, met some new people and been promoted at work. That's just off the top of my head; I suspect I could think of a few more interesting things if I spent some more time thinking of it. Not too shabby.
Still, I'm feeling the pressure to keep it up. I missed out on the SUSU Gamesoc RABIES party this year because I was ill, which I'm a bit gutted at but there's still lots of months before New Years to get stuff done. I've got my ticket for the Wrecked Goth Boat Party, which should be brilliant and the next Labyrinth camping party is coming up soon, which has always been fun. I've started putting in applications for jobs at universities in larger cities, which would be a huge change for me if it comes through. I'll need to make more of a push on some of the more unusual camping trips I want to see happen (Paris Catacombs would probably be the easiest of the bunch).
I suspect there will be a few more nights spent at Dungeon than I'd like, probably a few more at Slimelight than is ideal, but I'm optimistic. I think I can make a good year of 2012 :o)
