i've been getting back into pysanky egg design again. (Pysanka is an Ukrainian Easter egg and it means "drawing" or "painting" in Ukrainian) i have some more to show, but i haven't photographed them yet. i had to reformat my pc & getting on lj with my imac wasn't my biggest priority. all i've been doing for the past week or so is reinstalling ( Read more... )

ok, you lost me. what's a kistka? that tool? and what is the yellowy chunk? wax? or is the brown wax? (or both?)
sorry for all the questions... it's been years and years since i batik'd anything! lol

nice! when i was a kid we'd try to dye them with a family friend, but mostly he'd just end up doing them for us.

i'm just getting back into dyeing eggs again, so mine are'nt that great yet.
