So what has happened past few weeks? I turned a year older, which has stopped being a good thing ever since I hit the Big Two. On a more positive note: mucho presents. Yesh.
Oh, BJDs....we all fall to the dark side eventually. That same certain person who runs HoP caused me to fall hard for pukis.
It's a good idea to save up, though. I had an MSD that I waited six months for, and in the end, I just found her too big. It's hard to find inexpensive clothes for her, and I'm not much with sewing, so I ended up selling her. The pig, on the other hand, is only 14cm, a height that I LOVE. But it all comes down to your personal preference :)
I'm not fond of DoA, I just think it's too big. When you're new, it's real easy to get lost in that HUGE forum. But I'm slowly trying to post more.
It's true about the BJDs. I was so sure I was relatively safe. I am a bit worried that I might find her too big, but I don't think I'll know for sure until I ever see one in real life. And the only time that will be is when I get one myself, since it's hard to find find fellow dolly collectors (besides barbie) here in Belgium.
I'm not so fond of DoA myself either, but it was the only place I could think of fast where I could get some answers about her. At first, I wasn't even sure Shushu was an MSD or not.

Shushu is a gorgeous mold! I'm sure you'd love her if you got her! But I agree on the size difference. I have a MSD and while I knew in advance I wouldn't mind the size - it IS something to have to get used to after being with Pullips for so long. XD

Shushu is very pretty, isn't she? I even thought Pullips were quite big when Zuora first arrived, so I'm sure I'll have to get used to such a big doll. I'll spend some time looking at pictures and mulling it seriously over before I take the step though.

But, I do think it's best to take your time and make sure it's what you want first. I waited for a year before making my first bjd purchase for that very reason, if I was going to spend that much money it better be something I really loved. I looked for a long time at a bunch of different options and sizes and finally decided the tinies are the ones I really like. I think a yellow Lati is the biggest I'd ever be interested in.

I'm going to take my time alright. I don't think I will last a year, maybe not even half of that. But I think saving for her might take three months or so and if by then I still feel that very same urge, I might be quite safe. I go through serious MUST BUY pullip urges and I hold out for at least a month, which causes it to usually fade.
Anyway, I'm still not sure how to act on this impulse, but I'm starting to save up slowly and we'll see.

Congratulations on your big day! I am eagerly awaiting your new camera (more pics *yeahy*). And BJDs... even though I haven't felt the urge *yet*, it seems almost unavoidable. If you can manage to wait and save, it is probably your best bet. if you still want her after three months, go for it. We only live once :D
Thanks for the congrats. The new camera will take a while before it arrives though. I decided to go for 'more' than 'less' and while my wallet cries out in agony, I think I've set my sight on a Canon Rebel XT. Things is, it does not seem to be sold here in Belgium, so I might have to order it. Yeah, BJDs, it seems that sooner or later there will always be one of them that steals your heart. I've been looking at pictures and such and strangely there no other that makes me go OMGWANTNOWPLZKTHANX other than Shushu. I hope it will stay that way because the damn things are WAY expensive.
